Originally from Michigan, Sarah grew up with a passion for sports and the outdoors. She played soccer and volleyball in high school, and spent the winter weekends snowboarding. Despite leading a fairly active lifestyle, Sarah struggled with boredom and a lack of knowledge in the gym and in the kitchen. Then, in the Summer of 2015 she moved to Boulder, Colorado. Inspired by all of the activities and opportunities in her new home, Sarah wanted to find a hobby that she could be passionate about and would keep her fit. She’d heard of Crossfit and thought those elite athletes she saw on Instagram were really intense. But the Crossfit methodology around training and nutrition, along with the community focus encouraged her to give it a try. In early 2016 she signed up for a Six Week Women’s “New You” challenge at a local Crossfit gym and immediately she was hooked! A few months later she joined Boulder Crossfit and found a beyond awesome community, knowledgeable coaches, and incredible results.
As a coach, Sarah’s mantra is “We all start somewhere.” The Crossfit community is welcoming and accessible to everyone at all different points in their fitness journey. Anyone is capable of seeing results with some hard work, consistency, and a great attitude.
When she is not at the gym, Sarah works as the HR manager for a global design firm. She enjoys travelling to visit family, snowboarding, and hikes with her pup, Sonny
